Symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder are unique to each person

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex neurodevelopmental condition. While symptoms often appear when a person is between two and three years of age, sometimes behaviour becomes evident with as social demands increase.

ASD is often characterized by:

  • challenges with communication and social interaction

  • repetitive behaviour patterns

  • intense interests in specific topics and/or activities

  • difficulty coping with changes in routine or environment

Since symptoms vary, timely intervention and diagnosis are key for neurodivergent children to overcome barriers.

Avery Family & School Psychology Services provides personalized, evidence-based ASD assessments for students ages 5 to 17 years.
